With so much mainstream emphasis on mental and physical wellness, it is no wonder that more and more people are feeling out of balance and that there is something vital missing from their self-care regimen. Spiritual counselors help people along their path to spiritual growth.
The objective can include finding a life purpose, overcoming obstacles, and putting pain and grief into perspective. The spiritual path doesn’t look the same for everyone. Spiritual counselors do a lot more than listen. They may also employ an array of healing modalities to help their client release emotional, spiritual, or psychological blockages that may be standing in the way of a client connecting to their highest level of being.
Short term and long term spiritual goals may be different as the client may have issues in the mental or physical realms that need to be addressed simultaneously to spiritual growth before the client can reach higher levels of consciousness.
Designing and implementing a daily routine for spiritual health is commonly addressed and will usually include meditation, manifestation work, and/or prayer.
